provides culturally safe, holistic health and wellbeing support for
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.*

Their services include medical care, social and emotional well-being support, counselling, mental health programs, family support, and community programs. They focus on care that is led by mob, for mob, and grounded in culture, healing, and community connection.

What are other options?


Car Parking at City Hospitals

Parking your car at the hospital can be expensive, especially when you need to park for multiple days. Assistance is available, and never be afraid to ask for help.

    • Daily parking: $19–$34

    • Hourly parking: $4–$9

    • Weekly pass: $55

    Available from car park pay stations, the Car Parking Officer, or the RAH
    Newsagency.

    • Patients, or parents/carers of a baby or young child, who must attend the hospital once a week for at least four weeks for clinical reasons

    • Some other patients, relatives, or carers may also be eligible.

    • Just ask the Health Facility Manager (or delegate) for approval.

Getting around Adelaide can be tricky if you don’t have a car, so public transport can be helpful. Here are the easiest ways to get to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) using public transport.

Public Transport

TRAM

A tram stop is right outside the RAH on North Terrace

Travel is free in the Free City Tram Zone (from South Terrace to the Entertainment Centre).

You can catch the free tram from the Adelaide Railway Station (2 stops).

TRAin

Get off at Adelaide Railway Station (the main station).

Walk 15 minutes to the hospital or catch the free tram directly
outside the station.

Bus

Some buses stop close to the Royal Adelaide Hospital

Helpful tips

Use the free tram in the city whenever possible to save money.

Look for stops named “North Terrace” or “Port Road” near the hospital.

Adelaide buses do not take cash — you need a MetroCARD or a pre-paid ticket.

Use the Adelaide Metro Journey Planner to check times before you leave.

Buses and trains are not free. A single trip costs a small fare (around $5).
